What
Breakfast is a box at the door, Residenz only. Each box holds one or two portions. Each portion has a variant:
- Classic: rolls, pastry, dark bread, butter, jam, cheese, ham, egg, yoghurt, fruit
- Vegetarian: like Classic, no ham, vegetable spread instead
- Vegan: no animal products, vegan cheese, oat milk
- Kids: smaller amounts, kids' sausage, hazelnut spread, kids' milk
Every box comes with milk: regular or oat. A box with a vegan portion always gets oat milk.
The box arrives in a time slot: 07:30, 08:30 or 09:30. A booking keeps the same slot on every morning.

- Children from 3 count like any further person and get a kids' portion.
- Children under 3 are not counted, cost nothing and get no portion.
- At most 6 persons per morning and apartment.
Booking.com rate
Some Booking.com guests already have breakfast in their room rate ("Breakfast is included in the room rate"). The system detects this text on import and creates every morning from arrival + 1 automatically: Classic, 08:30, regular milk, boxes by persons. The guest may change slot, variants and milk, but cannot cancel. Extra persons above the rate cost € 15 per morning.
Why
- A box with up to two portions is what we can carry and set down. Three persons get two boxes.
- Children under 3 eat from their parents' plate. So no portion and no price.
- The rate comes from Booking; the guest has already paid. So we create it without asking, and the guest cannot cancel it.
How: the box suggestion
The system suggests boxes like this:
- Adults in pairs into Classic boxes.
- Children from 3 in pairs into Kids boxes.
- One adult and one child left over: one mixed box "1× Classic + 1× Kids".

Guest and team can change every portion and move it between boxes. Rules: 1–2 portions per box, kids' portions only for children from 3.
Typical mistakes
- Counting a child under 3 as a person. They get nothing, they cost nothing. If the age is missing, the guest page asks once.
- Trying to cancel a rate guest. Not possible; breakfast was paid through Booking. Only "Correct rate detection" (chapter 6) if the rate was detected wrongly.
- Vegan portion with regular milk. The system switches the milk to oat automatically.
